SBDC MISSION
The mission of the South Dakota Small Business Development Center is to help new entrepreneurs realize their dream of business ownership and assist existing businesses in their efforts to remain competitive.
SBDC offices provide professional, confidential, and no-cost business consulting services, including one-on-one counseling and training, to individuals starting a business or looking for ways to improve an existing business. The SBDC is a partnership program with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
HISTORY OF SBDC
Since its inception in 1985, the South Dakota Small Business Development Center has helped clients obtain more than $200 million in financing and has consulted on projects where over 5,500 jobs were created or retained. Contact us for more information on how we can help you.

The Yankton SBDC office is sponsored by District III. It is conveniently located in the same building as District III, Areawide Business Council, Procurement Technical Assistance Center, and the Business Information Center. Click Here for directions to our Yankton location.

CHAMBERLAIN AREA

MITCHELL AREA
The SBDC has partnered with the Kelley Center for Entrepreneurship at Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell to provide consulting services to the Mitchell area.

Sue is the Regional Director for the Yankton SBDC. Clients should schedule an appointment to meet with Sue at the Yankton office; otherwise she is willing to travel anywhere within the service area.
Lori is a business consultant and she is also available to travel to any location to provide free business counseling.
