GOVERNOR HOUSE PROGRAM

QUALIFICATIONS
- Household income cannot exceed $34,500 for couples or individuals and $40,250 for families of three or more.
- * For families and individuals under the age of 62, net worth must be less than $90,000 and less than $70,000 in liquid assets*.
- For families and individuals over the age of 62, net worth must be less than $175,000 and less than $100,000 in liquid assets*.
- The house must be used as the home buyer's primary residence.
- The house may be placed only in South Dakota.
- The house must be purchased with the home buyer's own resources, which may include a mortgage loan but which cannot include a government grant.
*Unless approved by the application review committee.
HOUSE PRICE:
(Includes Delivery and Placement) 1,008 square foot house for $33,000, plus excise and sales tax.
HOME BUYER'S RESPONSIBILITIES:
(SDHDA will provide technical assistance for setup of home.)

- Utility hookups and fees
- Floor coverings and appliances
