SPECIAL PURPOSE REGULATIONS
Special purpose ordinances are drafted and adopted to regulate specific activities which are deemed potentially damaging to a community’s populace. While the ordinance adoption and enforcement processes are guided by statutes and constitutions, communities are enabled to regulate certain behaviors, activities, events, or actions via ordinances. The possibilities are endless within the scope of special purposes ordinances. Some recent examples of these types of controls include vicious animals, special events, campgrounds, and adult entertainment. For more information, contact Brian at District III.
