WEST NILE VIRUS PREPAREDNESS & MOSQUITO CONTROL PLANS

The West Nile Virus has become a public health hazard in South Dakota. The state’s response to this threat has included a cost sharing program for mosquito control. A prerequisite for funding assistance is the development of a community or county-wide control plan. District III has worked closely with over 30 local governments to prepare these plans. The plans provide a starting point for identifying problem areas and coordinating control measures. For more information, contact Harry at District III.
